Salat (Islamic Prayer) – The Second Pillar of Islam Obligatory for Muslim

Islamic Prayer is the most important act of worship in Islam. It is clearly stated in the Hadith that:”The position of Salat to the religion is similar to the position of the head to the body” (Thabarani). Salat or Salah is the ritual prayer performed by Muslims and referred to specific Supplication. The Muslims are required to offer five daily prayers that are obligatory in all condition. Salat help in establishing one relationship with Almighty Allah. With the help of Salat Muslim can maintain their life in very suitable way. It is therefore, if the Salat are found correct, the rest of the deeds will be also correct; and if it is found wrong then the rest of the deeds will be also wrong.

In addition Allah Almighty has declared the significance and obligatory status of Namaz much time in the Quran. Such as when Almighty Allah spoke directly to Moosa (A), He said,

"And I have chosen you, so listen to that which is inspired to you. Verily, I am Allah! There is none worthy of worship but I, so worship Me and offer prayer perfectly for My remembrance (Surah Thaha 13-14)
